OUR SERVICES
My strength comes from offering a fusion of treatment types, ensuring my clients a powerful all-round programme of care. These include:
CHIROPRACTIC
I am a McTimoney trained Chiropractor which offers gentle manipulations and a holistic approach to treatment.
With manipulations, I use a trigger point needling technique (see Medical Dry Needling below). This is where a very fine needle is inserted into a ‘trigger point’ to release the muscle, allowing for a more successful manipulation.
Those with an aversion to needles may avoid this route.
In such an instance, I may refer you to my K-Laser solutions where an acupuncture facility allowing trigger points to be stimulated via high intensity laser (completely painless) will ensure the same results in an equally focused way.
Activator technique utilises a small spring-loaded adjusting instrument to deliver a focused corrective thrust into the dysfunctional spinal segment. This technique is most commonly used in patients who prefer a low-force correction without the traditional “hands-on” thrust.
Medical Dry Needling
MDN is an extremely effective technique that uses a very fine acupuncture needle to “deactivate” or “shut down” painful or knotted areas in your muscles. Many of us have areas in our body that feel tense all the time or feel like a hard ball in the muscle. By inserting fine needles into these tight areas, we elicit a “twitch response” or a brief contraction followed by an immediate and long-lasting relaxation. Because the needle can treat very deep parts of the muscle, the technique can achieve amazing pain relief that you never thought was possible. (I attended British Medical Acupuncture Society courses which is only run for students with a medical based degree).

What is K-Laser Therapy?
What is K-Laser therapy?
K-Laser therapy uses selective wave lengths of light to stimulate key molecules in human tissues at a cellular level. This stimulates cellular metabolism through increasing blood flow, nutrient absorption, cell division and excretion of waste products, accelerating and enhancing the body’s own healing and reparative abilities. As a result, skin, tendons, ligaments and muscles are repaired faster with reduced inflammation scarring & pain.
How many treatments might I need?
This depends on the nature of the condition being treated.
- Acute conditions 1-6 treatments
- Chronic conditions 10-15+ treatments
Some conditions such as arthritis may require ongoing periodic care to control pain
How long before I see results?
Pain reduction and increased mobility can be felt as soon as the first treatment. Each treatment is cumulative and results are often felt after 3 or 4 sessions.
Side effects or associated risks?
During over 20 years of use by healthcare providers all over the world, very few side effects have ever been recorded. Some pain syndromes may feel aggravated for a few days, as the healing response is more active after treatment.
Is K-Laser suitable for me?
K-Laser is suitable for any age group, any skin tone and any body size. Protocols can be tailored to the specific individual.
